What We Do
Day Care Programs – both Rosemary House and Nerang Neighborhood Centre
Standard Day Care Available usually from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Monday to Friday.
Door-to-door transport is available in the organisation’s own vehicles, or carers can transport their own loved ones. Pick-ups usually commence from 8:30 AM. Most people are home by 4:00 PM, depending on distance from the Centres.
Extended Care – Available at Rosemary House from 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Monday to Friday. People using this service need to be able to provide their own transport.
Twilight Care - Available at Rosemary House 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday to Thursday. People using this service need to be able to provide their own transport.
Overnight Care - Available at Rosemary House 4:00 PM to 8:00 AM Monday to Thursday. Is used in conjunction with Day Care at Rosemary House.
Saturday Care – Available at Rosemary House 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Door-to-door transport is available in the organisation’s own vehicles, or carers can transport their own people. Pick-ups usually commence from 8:30 AM. Most people are home by 4:00 PM, depending on distance from the Centres.
In-Home Day Respite - Our trained in-home workers are available to provide respite in a client’s home to enable their carer to take some time off, or to go out to attend social events or to do tasks outside the home. Alternatively, they may take the client to a medical appointment or an organized activity.
Personal Care - Our trained in-home workers visit the home to provide personal care such as assistance with showering etc. or meal preparation for those clients needing this help.
Domestic Assistance – Light household duties including cleaning of main living areas, bathroom, toilet and laundry.
Social Support – We are able to assist with shopping, transport to medical appointments and planned social activities.
Advocacy, support and information – Is available from our Services Provisions Officer by phoning 07 5594 0270.
Carers Education and Support Program - Provides 4 family carers 4 days and 3 nights respite on 8 occasions a year, while their family member is cared for by a combination of day and overnight care at Rosemary House.
Carer’s Support Group Meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of every month. They provide an opportunity to share stories with other people who are experiencing the same problems as you, and in addition, interesting guest speakers provide information about various services available from other agencies, as well as the latest information about dementia.
NB: Clients may receive a range of service types, depending on their needs. Service Provision Officer's are available to discuss service types best suited to your loved ones individual needs.
