Lemana
(Southern end of the Gold Coast)
Our aim is to enhance the quality of life for people living
with dementia, by promoting physical health, mental stimulation
and social interaction. Life can still be enjoyable and rewarding.
We take one day at a time.
Lemana Lodge was our first centre on the Gold Coast, which
was established in 1987 at Burleigh Waters, then Miami, and
was relocated in January 2006 to 239 Gooding Drive Merrimac,
where the name was shortened to "Lemana".
Clients attending Lemana are referred to as “Club Members”,
which takes away any stigma associated with Alzheimers or dementia.
Club Members are surrounded by professional, caring, dedicated
and fun loving staff who are eager to make their experience
as enjoyable as possible.
Our activity programs are based on Club Members’ interests.
Some of the many activities offered include bus outings, golf,
picnics, concerts, fishing, card games, bingo, bobs, bowls,
craft and word games to enhance mental stimulation.
Lemana offers:
- Day Respite
- Extended hours
- Special diets are catered for
- Transport to and from the centre if required
We are here to offer support for Carers and family, so please
do not hesitate to contact below.
